https://www.biggame.org/summer-expo-information/ Dallas Safari Club relocated their big annual convention to Atlanta for 3 years while Kay Bailey is renovated, then they'll be meeting annually in Houston, IIRC. So they've decided to have smaller summer conventions in the Dallas area, and I think this is the 1st one. So, lots of high end African hunting rifles on display, available for order, lots of safari outfitters and guides will have booths urging you to book your African (or wherever else) safari with them. If you ever plan to go hunting in Africa, you should go to DSC conventions. |

Running a bit late today, but about to roll out to Canton Civic Center for the gunshow. Will be there tonight (yes, a friday night gunshow) and tomorow is all, but some friends will cover my table on Sunday. You could hit up both Mesquite and Canton shows pretty easily if you are so inclined, they are only 51 miles apart. Parking is much easier in Canton, no towing etc, and it is just a stoplight or two between them! Seriously, if you make it to Canton look for the big Baldor buffer i use for sharpening. |

Still don't park in the Cowgirl Museum's lot, but punters and dealers now have access to the garage under the venue, the surface lot next to the venue, and the multi-story overflow garage. This will save vendors $24 a weekend, which has been a quarter of my table price. |

Someone has pointed out the dark blue text I use to highlight the schedule beyond this year isn't easily readable in dark blue on the new default dark grey background. It has more Colt SAAs & Winchester lever actions per square foot than Tulsa, however. If you're in easy driving distance, it's worth an hour of your time. If you go Friday afternoon, typically they serve beer upstairs after the show closes. HenryKnoxFineBooks, myself and a few other folks plan to visit Saturday morning before the old men start packing up, then grab lunch in town. We may hit a museum on the way home. Even though the show officially runs into Saturday afternoon, the old men start packing quickly after lunch time, so if you get there much after lunch there may not be much to see. A reminder - the American Gun Show Tyler shows at the Oil Palace have been cancelled until further notice. |

The drive-by on Hella Temple today made me think they had a gun show going (lots of cars in the lot which is unusual early in the day), but the big sign out front didn't mention a gun show. So I kept driving back to the house. |
