DRIVING INTO DFW FROM KANSAS Mother would like to do something for her daughter during the one night stay over, in Dallas, looking for something fun to do as the kid is in the back seat for the next 16 hours heading to the Gulf Coast of Florida as theyre not stopping but to change drivers. WILL BE COMING IN VIA I 35s TO I 20 HEADING EAST FROM THERE, the next morning, will do a hotel booking in relationship to suggestions from you guys. so what says Great and Powerful Arfcom help a grandpa make sweet 16 great again, Only thought I have is Great Wolf Lodge. but it has been 60 years since I was 16 and that may be more kid oriented. help an old man out, CHEF |

Stay north of I30 for anything in Dallas. I haven't been to the Galleria (635 and North Dallas Tollway) in decades, might be a shopping stop. The Gaylord Texan has a bunch of indoor open restaurants, but again, it's been decades since I stayed/ate there. Dallas ain't what it used to be, the hockey team and the basketball team have both announced they are leaving the downtown arena and going to north Dallas where things aren't as shitty. Even Neiman Marcus is closing their downtown store. |

Fancy shopping at Legacy West or Northpark Mall or Highland Park Village. There might be some special places if she has some small interest you could tell us about. Like an escape room or the skydiving simulator. Animals at Fort Worth Zoo or Dallas Aquarium? |

I can speak directly to the Greatwolf Lodge experience, and Medieval Times: 1. GWL as a single 16 yo kid, much less a girl, would probably be a miserable experience. We've been there twice with our 4-7 y.o kids in the past two years, and there are very few teenagers. Even fewer that could have driven themselves there. There are a few small outdoor waterparks we've taken the kids to that might be more fun, like NRH20 in North Richland Hills. 2. We just went to M-T this past weekend, and also last year. It is actually surprisingly a pretty good time |
