Oh, just a thought: Should this be announced in the WA and Rocky Mtn. hometown forums too?

OK, OK yes it should. You know the position of staff as of now, so keep that in mind, we can always go back and edit to add in arfcom's involvment, or to what extent it will be.
Right now, the 2 firing line spots and 2 camping spots are under my name. I have also inquired as to what detail a sponser entails. I'll update you more as I get more answers from staff on this. |
FYI a new PDF registration form is on the web site.

Here's what it looks like from the firing line looking down range (due east):
http://www.eaglecapsa.com/DownRange.jpg Picture was taken 1/31/06. The top of the ridge line is about 1600 yards away. |
NICE!!! I will have to make a few 5' gongs!!!!!! |
Hooked up to 10000 watt amp and speaker so you can hear it. |
I'll have to make sure to remember my spotting scope! Getting to watch folks shoot a 50 at 1K should be a kick in the arse!
Let alone, the rumor of 20mm being there! Prolly won't need the glass to watch the impact of that one! |
[Jack Black] SPALL BABY! [/Jack Black] Shit. Now I know what target I'll have to hold... |
Thats what spot tracers are for!!!!! |
Are the firing line spaces covered or can we bring our own cover?
ETA: what's the backstop? Just mileage or a hill- hard to tell from the pic how high the ridge is. |
The line will not be covered. These shoots are usually provide your own cover! CH |
No covers, bring your own. Make sure you bring something to anchor it down if the wind picks up. The backstop is the ridge. It's 250 feet higher than the firing line. It's kind of deceptive in the picture. |

This has now been posted in the Rocky Mountain HTF (thanks Eyegun!)
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=37&t=222407 And in the Washington HTF: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=15&t=222467&page=1 |

WS has a point. I always miss tacked threads. In fact, I thought this thread had moved to page two before I saw the tack. |
Guess it's too hard to look at the top of the page eh? Un-tacked per thread originators |
Did Hotpink have to help you, or maybe poke you in the eye for it to stick out that far? Rumors, strictly rumors |
oh Ya I will be there. A buddy of mine has a house in DOWN TOWN Joseph. I will be stayin there with a bunch of friends all going over just for the shoot.
Maybe this time I wont brake down on the way. |
Me thinks a keg and some strippers at your buddys house may be in order!!!! |
Doesn't help for non-team members who check the site infrequently. Many people do not regularly check the tacked posts area, just the active post area. Don't ask me why, that's just how it seems to happen. I want this thread to be most visible so many people will see it when browsing the HTF. |

Very northeastern corner of the state. Go to LaGrande and hang a left, due east! |
It's about 15 miles from the range. |
Had to fix it, that's the #1 reason why I'm not over there now, well, LaGrande or Baker city that is. |
Not sure that's what he meant... |
I can almost guarantee there will be a keg, but as far as strippers, have you ever been to Joseph? Family trees around there are pretty straight. |
hmmm If I go to LaGrande and hang a left I'll be heading west unless someone changed the compass bearings lately w/o telling me.... |
Well then maybe we need to call on our westside brothren to supply us with the womenz of the naked variety!!! |
Depends on which way your travelin. If I didn't have to go up to Portland to pick up a wannabe pirate, I would agree with you |
Wait a second they're letting Pirates in? Pirates? We don need no stinking Pirates...
Left right east or west it should be a good time by all..... |
So, does that mean you are going to attend???? |
Gonna try to drum up some interest with SOFAST and get a group headed up.... I love that part of the country and there is plenty open area from Southern Oregon on up to do some mag dumps on bunnies that it would have to be a fun drive.......
But are we required to wear the eye patch? |
oh hell yes, I'm about an hour and a half drive from Enterprise.
That's a case of 9mm in the back of the car for an incoming M11 and UZI (this week).
Lucky guess, cause that's what 'little badass' (as we call him) eats as well..... ETA: 'little badass' because my C3 has an Aussie L2A1 (just plain 'badass') we shoot out there as well |
