I've done a lot of reading and narrowed it down to either the 55BN from Sparks or the Scabbard from Kramer in horsehide for either one and FBI tilt. They are pretty much the same thing, but I'm curious if anyone can shed any light on if one carries better or more comfortably. This is for a CZ 75 PCR. I'm not really going for concealed as I mainly just carry when hiking, hunting, camping. However, I must have old injury or something because my current holsters always seem to tip out slightly and push the barrel or lower part of the holster into my hip and it presses in a way that's fairly uncomfortable. I can't find a position that works so I'm hoping to find a better holster that won't tip out and this design seems promising. I don't think it's a belt issue as I've tried several different thick and stiff ones and they are all about the same. There is just something about how they ride that doesn't work for me. Maybe my holsters ride too low or something. Thanks. |
| Own one Kraemer IWB rig for P-35. It is well made but un necessarily stiff/hard and took a bit of oiling and waxing to get the pistol to release. I have a BN55 Sparks for a 1911 that is beyond reproach; comfortable, fast and protects the front sight. I have 1 Kraemer and 5 Sparks holsters if that says anything, but Sparks takes a while to get. |

Thanks. That's what I was wanting to hear. Are any of your Sparks holsters horsehide? I'm wondering how much of the stiffness is due to the leather. I'm interested in trying a horsehide holster so if I get the Sparks will get it with horsehide. |

I carried a 1911 for decades in a Kramer Scabbard, horsehide, FBI tilt. Great holster but I never tried the 55BN although I've used other Milt Sparks products. |

One "trick" I learned about ordering Milt Sparks holsters, that likely would have resulted in me owning more of their product, was that you can change your order prior to them making it. So a lot of people just jump on the list and then when they get near the top of the list, they'll call in and update their order with what they really want/need at that point in time. |

I've never owned a Sparks OWB holster and probably never will. I've owned several of their IWB VMII holsters and only one has been usable. Every single Kramer I've ever owned has been good to go right off the bat. I currently own and use three of their Belt Scabbard models. If the barrel has a tendency to tip in, you could always try ordering a holster for a longer barrel version* or use those foam wedges meant for appendix holsters. *If carrying a G26, use a holster for a G19, etc. |

| I just ordered myself a belt scabbard for an HK45 and HK45c. I need them with a thumb-break so they were kind enough to add them for me. The lady I spoke to over the phone was very nice and helpful. I have a few of their holsters for other guns and I am pleased with their retention. The Horsehide is like kydex and my holsters snap into place. I would suggest checking Ebay as I often see a lot of Kramer holsters on there for sale. The prices are sometimes pretty reasonable. If you do go with Kramer holsters they told me they are at a 14-16 week wait. |
| Another tip with sparks is order through a dealer rather than direct. They will make a few orders a year and if you can catch one prior to sending in final order you can get one faster. Waited six months for one I ordered and about a month for the one I ordered through a dealer. |
| Kramer's vertical scabbards and IWB holsters are great. I don't care for their regular belt scabbard because of the way they form the belt loops. The two I've had looked like the person forming the holster had a seizure while making the loops, and the holster wouldn't ride against the body like it was supposed to. Butt wanted to tip out away from the body. They don't seem to have that problem with the rear loop on the vertical scabbard for some reason. |

I’m not going to knock any brand, style, or method mentioned in this thread. Have owned them all and they are great. I also really like TTGunleather out of Cali. I have numerous holsters from Tim. Quality is equal to anything you can purchase on the internet. https://www.ttgunleather.com/ |

Leather Beretta 92 holsters work perfectly fine with CZ75s. The Galco Fletch for a Beretta 92 would be my choice. I have a Kramer for my CZ75. It's not great. The fit was loose, although I fixed it by stitching in another row like in the photo (near the trigger guard). It doesn't ride that comfortably on the belt and hip either. Attached File |
| I own several Milt Sparks holsters, including a 55BN I use for a fullsize M9. I love it. I can honestly say I never in a million years would think my holsters would double in value. The VM2s and the 55BN I have are all black horsehide and were around $100 back when I bought them. Great holsters. |

I wouldn't say you shouldn't be a Kramer fan, but I'm not. A lot of people on this forum would agree 100% with him. They are in Washington state I believe. Where I live, people open carry a lot, nobody cares. Several years ago Kramer made comments about anybody open carrying, being an idiot. That's a no go for me. Feel free to dissagree, most everybody east of the Mississippi does  In my area, it's a no brainer especially in hot weather. |

I don’t necessarily think open carry promotes comfort with people carrying a firearm in public like some claim but it’s certainly an acceptable method in lots of places and I do it from time to time. It’s a wholly area specific method to blanket that everyone doing it are idiots is a bold move from a holster company. |

I used to live in AZ and open carried frequently. I don't consider myself an idiot. Back on topic, I love Kramer holsters. Been using them for EDC @ 20 years now. Nothing wrong with Milt Sparks, but Kramer has been getting the job done for me for a long time. |
