been looking for the right one at the right price for a while , seems like it was either priced too high , or had the xfer bar installed , or missing one cylinder , or just dogged out , grabbed this one for $470 OTD local pawn , nice bright bore , clean bright chambers , smooth actin , and perfect screws      |
| Nice 3 Screw. That’s a good price for it. I have a few new model Single Six convertibles, they are excellent guns. My only 3 Screw is an unconverted Blackhawk 357 from 1958. It still shoots like new. Ruger will install the Transfer Bar and return the original parts if you want to carry 6 shots. Nice find |

yea i know about Ruger installing the xfer bar if it ever goes in for service , from what i understand though is they return the original parts with the piece and the xfer bar upgrade is totally reversable this one serial dates to 1968 , i think the new models started in 73 so this is at the tail end of the life of the old models , this was dirty as all could be so i wasnt 100% certain as to how well it would clean up , could not see any etchings of sn on the cylinders , but once i got the powder off them there they were albeit very lightly etched , last 3 of the serial number , one number between each chamber , so very happy |
