| Not sure why Springfield chose to sell a competition oriented pistol with a hollow guide rod but they did. So, i mixed up #8 lead shot pellets and JB weld and packed the rod to the brim. Tapped it down, tapped the side until bubbles rose out and kept topping off with jb. It's curing overnight standing on end but wow! What a difference in weight! |
| I think plenty of other XDm owners had the same line of thinking, because Springer sells stainless guide rods for the XD/Echelon. |
