Greetings, I bought a P-14.45 back in the early Bill Clinton years that I carried for duty; Love that gun! A few years back I machined the slide for a Deltapoint Pro to help my older eyes at qualifications; Love that sight! Now, the 1911 style is no longer accepted for duty use. Since it's retired now, I'd like to put an iron sight slide back on it. What slide should I be looking for that will fit this old Warhorse? Thanks, Gos |

It's not hard to put one in, but it's not a direct swap. As far as slides go, if your P14 still has the series 80 style safety, you'll need to find a Colt, Para, or Remington R1 slide for parts swapping the safety. Sarco is out of 45 caliber para ordnance slides but gunbroker often has slides. If you're just wanting a slide to go without the series 80 safeties, it's a straightforward safety parts removal from the frame.
