| I thought Cerakoating a pistol to look Parkerized was a tremendously bad idea. I refuse to carry black Cerakoted 1911s - I'll happily stock a tan or grey Cerekoted one, but don't fool the consumer - and especially not the gunsmith 20 years down the road. |

The $300 USGI Tisas has grey cerakote to mimic the zinc phosphate finish on late war/rebuild 1911s. The $400 ASF model with the correct high wall ejection port has a manganese phosphate finish that matches the pre-war and early USGI guns. |
