The guns I am looking for holsters for are still in production. HK USP 45C and SIG P220 I am looking for belt OWB Kydex fitted holsters. I have holsters from Bladetech for my HK45 and HK45c. |

I like JM custom kydex, but don't have one for a hammer fired gun, yet. I bought this Vedder Light draw, and bought the optional belt wings for it. It fits my 1995 P220 , and makes it disappear. It's real tight to the body, with the optional clips. My P220 has kind of turned into a holster worn safe queen. I has no scratches on it, and I bought it new in 1995. Attached File Attached File |

I use Lytton Custom Holsters since I have discontinued SIGs (P239/P227) And they include a little tube of holster lube for a faster draw since they specialize in competition shooting holsters.. So they can make a competition revolver holster.. |

Kydex actually isn’t too difficult to work with. Lots of tutorials on YouTube. I haven’t done much in the way of holsters but I have made a number of mag holders. Subgun mags and Desert Eagle mags. I started making ugly-but-functional. Then I ended up building a home-made kydex press and they started turning out better. You just have to think about where to put blocking on the mag or gun you use for a mold.

I have been happy with CYA supply co., C&G and also Alien gear. CYA supply co. is veteran owed made in Texas IIRC. I have used their base IWB kydex holster with a couple of different pistols and for a minimalist holster it has performed very well for me. Retention and cant are adjustable. C&G OWB holsters have worked well for me at a range class I took. I don't usually carry OWB. Alien gear has some great holsters, and I use one for my 1911 exclusively. A lot of adjustments can be made, and the padding is nice too. Retention is good as well. You should be able to find what you are looking for with one of those three brands. |
