I've put a ton of rounds through them. |

arndog123: Those short magazines on a couple of yours. Are they two standard Ruger magazines clipped together by an adapter? If so, where can we get them? Thanks/Dave |

Previously posted that my next .22 would be a Ruger Single Six. Well, I just got it! Shot it last weekend and Holly Smoke it’s accurate. More so than what I was expecting. On irons it’s on par with my Ruger MK4, and my MK4 has a RDS and a Volquartsen trigger. While at the range I made the mistake of renting a S&W 617. Now my next .22 will be a S&W 617 mountain gun. |
Taurus TX22 TORO or M&P22x will be next up for me for my 10YO son who just recently started shooting. My daughter has a TX22 which is a known quantity for me (over 800 rounds of various ammo, no malfunctions, two cleanings) and my son enjoyed shooting it but I happened to notice how grip wasn't the best with his tiny hands. The M&P22x appears like it might have a better trigger reach for him, so I'll be taking him to a LGS to fondle one and we'll decide from there. Either way, I'll be $350-400 poorer by the end of the week...

He fondled the M&P22x and admitted he liked the trigger reach a bit better but didn't care for the grip feel (felt too straight and narrow to both of us). My boy reaffirmed that he'd be content with a TX22 after shooting his sister's the other day, so we settled on that. Got the pistol, 2 boxes of Federal Auto Match (650rds) and 2 boxes of CCI Uppercut (100rds) for $423 OTD. I am good with that! |

I have bought a few over the last couple of months. S&W 22A-1, S&W M&P 22X, Ruger LCP II in .22LR, Ruger SR22 and a Walther P22. My favorite of the group is the S&W 22X hands down. The LCP II is proving to be problematic and may need to go back to the factory. The S&W 22A-1 is the most accurate of the bunch and also the heaviest. I bought the Ruger SR22 and Walther P22 most recently for an idea about a modern Kit Gun. I also picked up 3 new ones in .22 Magnum. The Walther WMP-SD which has proven to be very accurate and reliable and is my porch pirate and varmint pistol for around the farm. I also picked up a S&W M&P .22 Mag and a Ruger LCRx in .22 magnum. Both have been 100% so far and I enjoy shooting them very much. I would like to pick up another TX22, the Compact TORO, but TX 22's are so popular right now I cannot find one in stock anywhere. |

Reference the S&W 617 Mountain Gun. I purchased one of these recently and at about the same time a 4.25" Colt King Cobra in 22rf. Both are great guns. The S&W did go back to S&W's Performance Center for the factory action job and to adjust an overly tight cylinder locking issue. The Colt is slightly smaller in size, the S&W being a K-frame compared to the updated Colt D frame. My suggestion is the buy the one that fits best in your hand. They are both able to shoot sub 1" ground at 25 yards, are going to last a lifetime, and will hold their value. They both have very tight chambers and do require cleaning after each firing session to prevent sticky extraction. You rally can't go wrong with either one. I've passed onto my oldest son the 22rf Colt to go with the factory matt finished 4.25" Python I gave him last Christmas, so the manual of arms stays the same. I also have a 38spl stainless 2" Night Cobra, 357 Mag in 3" & 4.25" King Cobras, and a 3" Viper. The Viper is my favorite of the bunch. |

Walther TPH recently purchased at Brownells of all places. Been to the range once. Likes CCI Mini-Mags, Winchester Super X and CCI Blazer. Some misfires with CCI Standard and Aguila, all of which sparked the second time. Did not like CCI Quiet at all, which was expected. Neat little pistol. |

I was walking around down town Mesa, AZ when SUDDENLY I spotted duh Loch Ness Monstah!!!! He had a for sale sign on this thing but no price. It just said..."For Sale". I said, "Hey!
