I'm looking for a decent quality mount, but there seems to be a wide variety of hole patterns for different SKUs on these guns. I'd rather install a dedicated mount to keep the sight low, rather than use the picatinny rail which I've removed. While we're at it, is there any mount out there to install a light under the barrel? First off, to the best of my knowledge, there is no "wide variety of hole patterns for different SKUs on these guns". All MKIV's have the same hole locations and use the same mounts. The only exception to that (that I know of) is the Silencer Shop model and even with that one, only if you get the one that comes with a pic rail. Apparently SS released another version that comes with direct mount rail for shield optic footprint (RMSc?) and that one uses the same hole spacing as any other MKIV Lobos gets a lot of love but personally I like the MaddMacs mounts a little better and like that they have options to mount further back using the factory dovetail or further out over the ejection port if you prefer Maddmacs Holosun mounts There are other options as well from places like EGW, FarrowTech, C&H Precision, Rucker Machine and probably more. Comes down to where you want to mount the optic, which one looks better to you and how much you want to spend? |

| I used 2 different Lobos mount. First one was for the RMR. Mounted the Holosun 407C to it and loved it. Then OCD kicked in and felt like the deck hight on the 407C made it sit high. Got another Lobos mount for the 507k footprint. Then bought an OSight SE enclosed optic. It’s perfect with this optic now. Sits lower. |

My ArmaDyne arrived today. It seems pretty decent. I didn't consider that the skeletonized nature leaves the battery of my Romeo Zero exposed. Obviously a Holosun has that sealed tray, not a bottom mounted battery. Should I put a sealing plate under there? Another damn thing to buy.  " /> " />

I had him custom make a few for a holosun SCS (I wanted it as low to bore as possible) and accidentally stripped the threads on one of them. 7 inch pounds dry or 5 wet for max torque, per their email to me. (I just checked) Edit: apparently they are a regular run item now. Neat

I decided to go swap it for the Farrowtech. I think it's a more solid mount, positioned further back. I'm delighted so far. The Romeo Zero has its own built in back up sight, which is a decent trade off for removing the factory rear sight. |
