I have been patiently waiting for the 80x in 32 acp to hit the market since it was introduced last year at Shot Show. I have not seen them for sell at all. Any ideal why they have not come to market yet? |

I have a threaded .32 barrel from Allegheny Arms. Also works for my 81BB. Also bought a threaded .380 barrel from them. All are cheaper than a new pistol, but if you absolutely want the .32, looks like LTT. |

I do believe as has been mentioned that Langdon will be the source for the 32 flavor. I definitely prefer the 32 over the 380 for the 80x and have a soft spot for 32 in general. I have three of the 80x with two in 380 and one with the Allegheny 32 barrel using 81 mags and Allegheny mag extensions along with a GSL Alleycat 32 suppressor. One of my favorite rigs and I have over fifty Berettas in the collection at the moment. I did figure out that the factory 80x is under sprung as my converted one runs just fine on the 380 spring even without the can and I also ungraded to the 16lb spring from MGW and it still runs 32 no problem both my handloads and factory stuff. Just putting that out there for info.

I contacted them and they don't have any barrels for sale, they said they were working on a new batch but there was some technical issue with producing more. |

| Hey, so I figured I'd jump in and clear up the barrel questions. The machine shop we had making our barrels for the past few years is going through some changes and have cancelled all of the open PO's from nearly all customers. I know the old man was getting on and the impression I have is there is some infighting between the family. That said, we have another machine shop working on them but as we are now a new customer, we're at the back of the line. We don't have a hard timeline yet but they are in the works and we're also bringing out some other new parts to go along with them in addition to the suppressor height and carry height tritium sights etc. |

To do a bit of thread necromancy, Allagheny threaded .32 barrels are absolutely worth waiting for and seeking out. On a whim, we took my 81BB to the range with us to try with my first suppressor. And I am super glad we did:  This thing was the standout surprise of the day. I can hardly remember the last time I had so much fun shooting a pistol that I actually laughed aloud on the firing line. Absolutely worth seeking/waiting for. Still trying to tune the 80X with an Allagheny barrel, but I think the solution is a hair lighter recoil spring (feeds but slide is not coming back far enough to reset the sear). |

GunMagWarehouse right now has the genuine Beretta 81 12 rounders for much less (until they run out again). |

Finally, caught a break. Beretta is offering a $100 rebate and Allegany Arms has Model 81 magazine in stock. I order an 80x in 32 acp from Landon Tactical and it is currently on its way to me as well as magazines. Both the pistol and mags should be here next Monday. Will post pics once I have them in hand. |

FWIW, i just received my ecco machine alpha adapter i needed to mount my suppressor on my Beretta 84bb from Allegheny arms(in .32). The barrel is ostensibly threaded in 1/2x28 but the ecco machine adapter wouldn't even begin to thread on. I tested it with several other 1/2x28 adapters and it won't thread. I compared it to my 1/2x20 x 1/2x28 ewk adapter threads( for my model 70 in 32) which are also US made precision adapters. Thread pitch matches but AA Barrel threads seems to be 5 to 10 thousandths larger. The AA barrels thread protector will thread onto the barrel and the ewk adapter no problem but the ewk thread protector won't thread on the AA Barrel. I ordered a die set that is adjustable so I'm going to try to chase the threads on the barrel and cut it just 5 thousandths deeper until my ecco machine adapter will thread on. I seem to recall AA doesn't make these in house. So I'm not sure if I would want to send it back when it's something I can probably easily fix myself, but I thought I would put this out there incase it happens to anyone else. If my die job works ill let them know what happened so maybe they can qc their barrels from the shop that did the work. Btw the barrel dropped in without any fitting needed and it otherwise looks like a fantastic barrel, better that what Beretta has been putting out lately, at least from TN. |
