Tuesday, I put a few rounds through my gun and decided to go ahead and polish the trigger bow after I cleaned the gun. Apparently, I did something when reassembling it and bent the sear spring, both the middle and right tines. Once I put the main spring housing in place, I tried cocking it, and the hammer was VERY heavy, as in I could not get it to full cock. Once I was done cussing myself out, I gave some money to WC. I picked up another magazine, a trigger with a short shoe, and 3 sear springs. I got three sear springs for a couple of reasons: 1. I have already scewed one up. 2. I do want to change the trigger pull weight and want to have at least one that is 'factory'. 3. In the future, I plan to build one from the ground up and will need one then. When putting the gun back together with the WC sear spring (bulletproof), I did have to adjust the right tine so there would be some tension on the grip safety. When I did this, I was careful to only move that tine. As screw-ups go, I guess this one was not too bad. I thought I was paying attention when I first put the gun together. I would like to know just what happened to screw it up. Anyway, I figured you guys needed someone to laugh at today. |
