| A while back I seem to remember something about Springfield discontinuing the XDM and I think the 10mm was the only one they were still making. So anyways, what was replacing them? I looked on Springfield's site and couldn't figure out which one was replacing it. |

| They are still selling the XDm Elites, and other XD series pistols. They have reduced the models though in the line which is disappointing. While the Echelon is nice, I have no desire to add another pistol that I have to buy new mags for when I have plenty for all of my XD and XDm series. The great thing about the 45 models is mags work in both XD and XDm pistols. |

I asked the SA rep at the Echelon introductory tour about this. He stated then that all of the XD production lines were going to be converted to Echelon except for the 10mm. Things may have changed since but that is what I was told then. |

Yeah, that's what I thought I remembered. That's been some time ago though and the echelon is only in 9mm and they've introduced the XD mod.3 since then. I haven't seen any XDM elite .45s in a while though. It gives me a bad feeling when I company discontinues a product I like and have invested in. |
