Related to this thread, but different enough to make a new thread. https://derya.us/dy9-island/ Retail price on the complete gun is $599 and retail price on just the slide is $299 (I assume it's still Gen4 G19 compatible). The original version of the DY9 was imported by Rock Island Armory. They now have a facility in Jacksonville Florida for importing and (eventually) production. There have been a few videos that have popped up on this variant in the last week. I'm not sure if anybody actually has it for sale yet. All of the guntubers I have seen reviewing this I have never heard of it before. The new model has a ported barrel and a cutaway slide, reminiscent of the Schuemann Hybrid barrel (and the Aro-Tek, before they got sued by Mr Schuemann). I haven't thought of the Aro-Tek Glocks in decades, but their advertising was all over some of the gun-rags of the 90s. You would obviously lose the front sight, but it does have an optic cut. Edit.... I understand that this has been called an "ISLAND" cut for years, but it really screws up with the SEO since the original DY9 was imported by Rock ISLAND Armory. Searching for "DY9 Island" gets you this version at a few links and tons of reviews of the version from last year. |
| I have the first one that Rock Island came out with and its run flawless , with every ammo I run , I like it , also gives my Glocks a break , I also bought the Drya Beretta M9 copy just to try it out and man its flawless also and takes Beretta grips , mags , small parts etc very nice |

I should probably just keep it I guess |
