![]() AimSurplus Product Spotlight: Unissued LEO Trade-In Glock 45 MOS-5 RMR Cut Slide |
yea, i haven't had any luck selling mine. aim surplus will probably do better.
![]() I wonder how many they got in. |
The first time we had ever seen them, I didn't know they existed. we had to call Glock to verify.
We had two Glock Employees buy them so far. |
The sights are standard polymer because most people will eventually replace them with something taller depending on their needs.

After shipping and transfer its within a few dollars of a brand new in stock model at my LGSs, they should lower the price a tad. Even if they are unissued, that doesn’t make them brand new in the box, they should be $500-$550. I’m sure they’d still be making a nice profit at that price.

I assumed these were standard MOS guns. |

Quoted: My issued 45MOS-5 from last year came with polymer sights. I stuck raised all black Ameriglos on mine. My personal 45 (non-MOS, it was cut for rmr by maple leaf) has Ameriglo Hackathorns on it. https://i.postimg.cc/K8fBS098/IMG_5196.jpg View Quote Are those irons usable through the optic? They look damn low. Optical illusion? ETA: Referencing both sets of irons. |
The bottom one was my personal gun before I had it milled. I just kept the Ameriglos I had. You can barely see the tips if the optic fails.
The top one is my issued weapon. I put tall Ameriglos on them. They are usuable if the optic fails. It sits in the lower third. I did not want taller ones. Some guys put taller ones on and I didn’t like the obstructed view. Eta- Found the box. The ones on my duty gun are Ameriglos GL-429. XL height. |
OP, I hate you. All day I’ve been thinking about buying another 45 and having it milled. I can’t order this because of the mags and now I’m pissed about it.
Fuck this state |

Factory RMR cut plus glock performance trigger solves 87% of my problems with Glock.
Fuck it, I'm in. @Bryan_Aim since the Colorado government is run by tyrannical pillow biters, will I get some goofy 15 rounder or at least a bit of a discount for missing out on the 3 mags? They can be legally shipped to my FFL by the way. And what happens after that, well it ain't y'alls concern or liability. |
Would rather have a cut that more precisely fits an RMR witbout what looks like .100 gap to the front and rear of the optic.
Yes the gaps are unsightly. My maple leaf cut fits tight. But I guess Glock did it their way because of variances in rmrs?
I know maple leaf redid my glock 31 cut when i changed from an rm02 to rm06. I posted awhile back closeups of the gaps sometime last year when we switched to the 45mos-5 I’m not back to work till Saturday so I can’t do current close up pics of my duty gun. Only at about 4k rounds in the past year. But zero is still holding. We finally got more ammo in so I expect to shoot more this winter. |

Similar on my G17 MOS but I can't recall the irons #'s. Those sit more ~lower 1/4. |

I just wish the cut was tighter to the RMR. I know they’re rare, but I really don’t like the gap around the RMR.

I was able to buy Blue Label, G45 MOS, much cheaper, and the FCD plate for RMR.

So the 45MOS-5 was the answer for us. https://i.postimg.cc/cJ2nqLj3/2756D463-F7CC-4B09-86C9-065C48B2CBFC.jpg View Quote Aesthetically, it's horrendous. ![]() Functionality wise, the recoil bosses are there. I asked our rep if they were going to clean it up some, down the road. |

After looking at the fitment photos, I have more faith in a standard MOS with a FCD plate than this.

Quoted: After looking at the fitment photos, I have more faith in a standard MOS with a FCD plate than this. View Quote I have more faith in solid metal than and extra piece and two more screws. Honestly though I’m not worried about the 45MOS with FCD I just wanted a milled and this happened to pop up the same day. It was a sign from above. ![]() I do wonder if the FCD plate will fit these those since the extra material is removed and the second set of holes are there. Once I pick this up I’ll check it. |

Unsure about hole locations but removing the recoil lugs along with additional pocket slop would be a deal killer for me.
Quoted: The MOS plates also have a channel that runs down the middle. View Quote Correct. In theory the factory plates are a great concept, especially with the option of like a dozen optic choices. The plates themselves are lacking as are the variances in slide cuts. I'm sure it's difficult to mass produce and accommodate the slew of manufacturers' optics w/o people having difficulties with fitment. There's got to be some room for play there in order to keep things "generic". |
