I use and train with an IWB kydex holster. Well kydex/leather combo. Crossbreed to be specific. Love it and once broken in, i've been wearing it almost daily for close to 8 years. Now that Florida has gone to open carry, even though I still plan on carrying concealed, I want to get and break in an OWB leather holster. So, looking for your recommendations for a high quality leather holster. I looked at the Kramers. Very nice but not sure what else is out there. I'd prefer a paddle, but can be talked into belt loops. Thanks everyone. |

Better looking, similar retention, more options. Arguably less wear to finish. And the single biggest reason... because that's what some of us like. Show me a kydex holster that looks 1/10th as good as this: FWIW, the 60TK on the left is 25 years old and retention is every bit as good as any kydex holster I own. For nearly 10 years the Kimber Compact CDP was the only handgun I owned and I carried it virtually every day in that holster, so it has a lot of hours on it.

I could be wrong, but I am fairly certain those were made by the original owner in Colorado. He sold the business and it was moved to somewhere in Minnesota I believe. I think he is retained by the new owners as a consultant. He still posts under the screen name LoboGunLeather on smith-wessonforum.com. He is an all around nice guy, vet, and former LEO. Knowledgeable about S&W as well. I bought mine 10-12 years ago, so that seems right. Website is still up and running. |

Ryan and Kay at Grizzle Custom holsters make a top notch leather holster. They are small maw and paw shop in Georgia and you can even call talk to them on the phone.
