My Tisas full size 1911 9mm when fired the slide will not move back and eject a round. It only moves back about 1/8". Slide is mostly stuck. I can manually cock the hammer and get the slide to move back to eject the spent case. Took it apart, spring seems fine, a round drops in the chamber fine, and the ejector holds the round properly. It will cycle manually with ammo (me racking the slide). I submitted a warranty request and got this email: Thank you for contacting SDS Arms regarding your Tisas product. We regret to inform you that Tisas USA service support has been discontinued effective immediately. The manufacturer has ended all service and parts support, and we are no longer able to process repairs, warranty work, or parts requests for these models. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and understand this may be frustrating. Unfortunately, this decision was made at the manufacturer level and is outside of our control. Dependent on your warranty claim, you may consider third party options from your local gunsmith. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for allowing SDS Arms to be part of the Tisas USA journey. Well I won't be buying anything from them in the future. I never owned one, but would look into them from time to time for a budget or base option for a build possibly. Oh well, plenty of other options out there anyways. Would be curious to know why? |

Many speculating that Tisas is establishing their own US company. My main concern with that is some of their pistols have gone up significantly in price. If you look at their newest double stack guns from MAC, they went from $700 to $1000 in less than a year. The big question is if Tisas or SDS is responsible for those price hikes. Who wants to pay $1000 for a MAC when a US made Romulus can be had for a couple hundred more? Hell a Platypus is $1400. I don’t think the market is very strong for $700 single stacks and $1000 double stacks from Turkey. |

Have you tried a different magazine? Does it cycle with one round in a mag? Can you manually cycle a round out and a fresh one into the chamber? If it's not cycling something is hanging up. Did you try disassembly and lube everything? I like to hit the rails with tiny dab of grease when reassemble it. You should be able to troubleshoot this a bit. |

This is the first I've heard that Tisas isn't using a Colt pattern 9x19mm 1911 mag. All the Turkish 9mm 1911s I've sold looked like standard 9mm 1911 mags, just like the MecGars I buy as spares/extra for my customers. |
