Hello On all of my pistols, i have either the Holosun 507C, the SCS on those that use that specific sight, or on the smaller ones, the 507K. They all have the multiple reticles. I have a Hellcat Pro Comp that needs an optic. For this one, i was thinking about a 407K with the 6 MOA dot only. I dont really use all of the reticles as i usually just use the circle dot mostly because it is easy for my 55 year old eyes to pick up. This is obviously a carry gun and i was just wondering what your preferred reticle is on an EDC Thanks |

As I became more accustomed to using the dot I found the circle dot adds complexity to the presentation. A bigger dot is easier to find at speed, but after using the dot I feel like I can go smaller now. The SRO 5 moa dot is great on my competition pistol. I swapped a 3 moa dot onto my Heavy Metal pistol to help with distance precision on 10” plates. I run circle dots on shotguns now and zero the shot to the circle. I run 2 or 3 moa dots on carbines as it adds to the precision. |

I prefer a single smaller dot. I have a couple of the MRS Holosuns and have zero use for the circle dot on a handgun. I've tried it and found it to actually slow me down. I had tried a 6 MOA dot when I first started using pistol optics and I just didn't like it. I prefer the 2 moa dot when available. The large dot was not faster for me and I found myself being more dot focused that target focused. I actually felt slower and the shot time showed proved that out by a very small margin. |
