I was a bit surprised when Sig killed those off. I'd think they have just enough customer base to keep a 45 on the books. Maybe I should say I am surprised it took them so long to bring a double stack 45 to market. They had P229Rs For $419 on their site that were listed as trade ins with some holster wear. I ordered one and got the shipping notification with a small picture of it. Judging by the picture it looks to be in great condition. Been wanting to add a 200 series to the collection for a while since I put the 320s in the back of the safe for now. Aim surplus always surprises me with how good of a condition their trade ins come in. |

Reminds me a lot of the old CPO guns we sold. Almost every one looked brand new. I bought one for myself and sold at least a dozen and never saw one that had anything other than slight handling marks. Unless they were doing complete refinishes including the barrel and small parts they probably lived in their cases. Wish I would have bought more. IMO, the P2022 was the best 229. Again, my opinion is that. And if you missed the P229, they have lots of P320's for sale now and cheap too!

| ISP has always had a pretty robust firearms training program designed around the weapons issued. They combine their duty gun along with their rifle program. I know they also do quite a bit of low light, or night fire. I know that the current qualification course will change to reflect their new issued duty gun. |
