I didn't even want to hoard them I just have a condition where if I saw them cheap enough I can't leave them behind. |

It's so silly to me that Ruger has so many configurations based on the same mag body. When I looked at the IV's after they first arrived it sure seemed like they could have just notched the grip frame and kept using the same mags. I hate that stuff. Little changes at OEM level that are trivial but would help adoption are a no brainer. |

I like my standard frame MkIV... a lot, and would really like higher capacity magazines, but I don't think that I will pony up the cash for a new frame + mags if they become available. I'm simply too invested in my current frame (small VQ bits + wood grips) and my 6ish 10rd mags. If I was buying new though, I would be all over a 20rd MkIV/V When I bought my MkIV I compared it to the Buckmark and SW Victory. TX22 wasn't even on my radar, but good on Ruger to stay ahead of it anyway. I actually liked the S&W a little more, but I always felt like Ruger was *the* 22lr pistol. Like Betamax and VHS. |

I was really hoping there would be something announced at SS about this but apparently not?  At this point, I'd really like to know if its just going to be a new frame/magazine (that will work with current MKIV uppers) or totally new generation? I've got some plans/changes I'm considering for my current MKIV's but they sort of hinge on what's happening with this? |

History has shown the guys calling the shots at Ruger don't really want to sell any parts to the general public , not sure about dealers. They are also quite stubborn about giving folks what they want . Just look at the many various companies cranking out aftermarket parts for the 10/22 . I really love some of my Rugers but find myself hateing the way Ruger conducts business. |
