| I have a blued Taurus model 65 revolver, 357 with a 3" barrel, SN 5160904. It has a square butt, non pinned barrel, non recessed cylinder. Marked V605 on frame and 65 on frame. It is stamped Taurus Int Mfg Miami,FLA and Made in Brazil on receiver, and Taurus Brasil on barrel and Cal 357 Magnum. It is pre lock and pre Taurus USA, that is all I know. I contacted Taurus and they were no help, stating they have no records before Taurus USA. It also has a square butt with one center hole and 2 other holes with locator roll pins for the grips. I have not been able to find any grips that fit except the original small Magna type grips. I currently have a Tyler T grip on them. Any info would help. |

Yea. 65 grips are unobtanuim... supposedly some chinaman made some. I lovevall the info. It helps when your looking for something to say what you have I got a 4" stainless, non pinned ,taurus intl., non recessed chambers, BIT HAS C THE SAFETY LOCKED HAMMER... It wears factory rubber grips with finer grooves and i just think , how cool this would be with some good wood "combat" style grips. Taurus' wood grips are usually kinda rounded , which looks retarded imho. Eta , mine is not even marked for model # no rear site and smooth face trigger. |
