I am curious if anyone else has run into this. NIB pistol from PSA. Oiled it up before first range trip. The mags (particularly the 21 rounder) drops free after you fire a round. Zero contact with the mag release or slide release and this still happens. Then, after about 50 rounds, it started cycling so slow you could just about count to 2 before it RTB. |

| Funnily enough I tried and they won’t let me - you have to have a reddit account for a long time before they let you ask questions. I did read about a ton of these having RTB issues, but I don’t see how a recoil spring would affect my issue of mags dropping. I’ve reached out to the warranty folks so we’ll see if they’re helpful. |

Sorry to hear you're having problem's. I have had a half dozen Canik's. Currently the Rival S SFX and I just picked up but haven't fired the MC9. I'm on my third SFX and have not had a single problem. Another note: I added a trigger return spring meant for a Canik to my Walther PDP Pro. Trigger now is about 2 lbs. |
| I have bought a couple new Canik pistols in the last week, a Rival-S chrome and a TTI Smoke. I have run over 200 rounds thru the Rival and about 120 thru 'Ol Smokey. ZERO issues with either except for the slide sometimes not locking back after the last round, and that is probably my doing. |

Also look in your box you should have 2 springs, maybe you got the lighter one in the need to put the normal one in. |

The mag auto drop issue probably due to something hanging up the mag release button spring inside the grip frame, preventing it from latching correctly. I'd strip it and look at the spring and mag catch itself. Try to see if you could sse any differences in locked in position between mags. It could be that the mag catch is out of spec (there has been posts online about this issue) The slide slow to return after 50 rds is not the recoil spring issue. You would have had that at round #1 and not 50. There is something slowing down the slide. Again, strip it down to check/look. I also recommend wipe all the lub off and shoot it again without any lube on the frame and slide. Good way to get all the parts mated by live firing with full power ammo. All of my answers above predicated on the assumption that your grip is correct and not riding either the slide or hitting the mag release button with the meat of your palm. |
