I am trying to track down what should be an easy answer but it hasnt been. I am currently trying to find a 5" TRP that is CA compliant with the old style TRP roll mark on the slide by the hammer such as the one in this link: TRP Every single one I find list it to be the correct TRP I am looking for, an then they all end up being the newer TRP slides...... I contacted Springfield this morning and their custom service rep stated to her knowledge, they were no longer doing the TRP roll mark on the slides at all. However, their website still has a UPC for it and images on their website of the very gun I am trying to track down..... Can anyone confirm the current UPC/ SKU for the TRP marked 5"? |

It looks like the old one uses the same SKU as the newer roll marked one. I found this one on Gunbroker. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1186419892 |

Never trust website pics. I’m pretty sure there’s just the one sku for that gun so you’ll need to find an older gun. Might be worth asking on whatever the popular 1911 forum is to see if they know when they changed it. |

I had read a post on another forum a while back asking about why the CA TRP models didn't change when SA made "changes" to the TRP line of pistols and one of the replies was if ANY change was made to any firearm on the CA list, it fell of the list and that company would have to go thru the entire CA certification process to get back on the "approved" list. |

I never got over how just having a different finish meant it had to be listed separately. If it had been a smaller state I don't think the manufacturers would have gone to the trouble of listing everything. |
