| Just discovered this brand. I don't know if this is the correct forum, but a couple of questions I have is, do they use standard Browning Hi Power magazines? And how is the build quality/performance. |

I found a couple of videos on youtube discussing the Alpha 14 and TR Imports Alpha 14. The linked video shows the Girsan MC P35, Z 14 and the Alpha 14. Apparently there are three different factories producing the P-35 High Power Clones in Turkey. The Z 14 has grips just like the Regent series sold in the US a few years ago. In the video they show the owners manual for the Z 14 and it has Tisas name on the cover. If you use close caption you can get the English translation. The Alpha 14 appears to be another P-35 clone manufactured in Turkey and all three use the Mec-Gar 15 round P-35/High Power pattern magazines. I have the Girsan MC P35 I purchased on sale for $400 and it has been gtg. SDS Imports has started importing a P-35 clone under the trade name Englis brand (not the Canadian Company). I suspect the Tisas parts are used in the SA-35. SDS Imports says Tisas is not the manufacturer of their Englis P-35. There are a lot of Turkish options for Hi Powers now. Girsan (imported by EAA) Inglis Springfield (although it says it's USA Made) TR Imports Seems like I'm missing one? I have a few FN HPs and a Girsan. Springfield's are just a little over $600 now, and the Inglis is just over $400. I'd buy either of these over the other options, or before spending $1K on a used FN. Unless it was a collectible HP. |

Tisas still makes the Zig14 , but LKCI quit importing it (formerly the Regent BR9). Celik recently announced the FP14 but I couldn't find information about a US importer. |
