Found an unmolsted TRS on gunbroker. Looks like it was carried more than shot. Came with that high dollar cardboard box and a colt mag. Now I have to look around and see if I still have some std size bushings so I can put my std thickness TRS grips on. Attached File Attached File |

Thin grips do suck, I have a few guns with thin grips and even though I put thin grips on them purposely to be as skinny as possible for carry, I still like the feel of standard thickness way better. My latest tinkering project with thin G10 grips. It's a Springfield Garrison Commander in 9mm. I put the G10 mainspring housing on it because I like them arched but a steel arched housing is crazy heavy. I carried it for the first time yesterday and I think I'm really going to like it. There's still more to be done.

I had the Baer Thunder Ranch 20+ years ago, Excellent gun.. And yes, the grips SUCK ( and worth a whole lot sold separately) nice buy, i'd buy another, but got too pricey for me. |

So that was my justification for wanting the adjustment. I reload, pretty much all 200/230 gr stuff. But I was playing around with 185s. But except for the 185 stuff, which I don’t like anyway (not accurate) most everything else just hits to POA. Other than my affair with the 185s, the sights haven’t moved. My first Baer was a 4.25” version and had some awesome adjustable rear, which also never gets moved. When was the last time you saw these? Attached File |

Went shooting today. This thing may rekindle my love for 45 AARP. Roughly 350 rounds and 3 malfunctions where the last round didnt want to feed. Happened with 1 para mag and 1 mecgar. Sights suck ass. Definetely going to nees Rob to install a dawson FO front and a 10-8 rear. Attached File |

It is a shame that the mags were never fleshed out to not be an issue, well that and Para's issues throughout it's life. Granted, this is a range toy, so roughly a 1% failure rate is ok with me, but if it was a duty or competition gun, I could see where people would get irritated. |

Nice TRS. I myself like thing grips, and would have them on all my 1911’s if it were not for having to deal with replacing grip screw bushings. I am also a fan of the seemingly almost obsolete these days short A1 length trigger. The Army considered it better than the long one in the 1920’s and I definitely agree they were right. Long fingers can still use a short trigger but not the other way around. If the middle and proximal phalanx region of your trigger finger is touching the side of the frame when you are pulling the trigger, your trigger is too long ( this from the AMTU pistol shooting guide) and I bet if this logic is applied, the long trigger so common in today’s production pistols would be too long for over half the users. |
