Here's my XD-40 Tac that I shoot in the Production and L-10 divisions at USPSA matches. These are the "after" pics after I had some trigger work done and adj sights added along with having it refinished. All the work was done by Rich at Canyon-Creek (http://www.canyon-creek.com), can't recommend his work and turn time enough. I took it to the range today, and it shoot great. I put 50rds of the cheap A-Merc 230 ball, which did so-so 4in at 25yds. But my reloads were shot great, it is a plinking load of 6gr of Unique behind 185gr lead SWC. The reloads was coming in at alittle under 2in at 25yds. I had a couple FTF, but it was from the junk factory mags. I don't know where SA get these mags, but they need to fire someones ass. When I picked the gun up, the mag was stuck in the gun. Me and the shop owner had to take the grip off to pull the mag out. He ordered me another mag, and I stop on the way to the range today to pick it up. I pushed it in the gun and it got stuck also, damn had to take it apart again. Well I went to the range with one factory SA mag(i got two the other one fit) and a couple each Wilson and Chip MC's. I loaded the SA mag, second shot FTF, I cleared racked the slide second shot FTF. I popped the mag out and the damn follower was stuck half way down, and the rounds were just rattling around in the mag........Well the rest of the 100rds I fired were through Wilson and Chip Mc mags, and had no trouble what so ever........Shoots like a dream.......when you use good mags. |
