I picked up a new prodigy a few weeks ago. For some reason, the mag release just feels like it’s full of sand! Not really…but it’s gritty and rough. I tried oiling it a little, but it didn’t do anything to help. Is it as simple as pulling the mag release button out and hitting it with some super fine sandpaper? Or is that going to take the parkerized coating off and make it want to rust? The buttons on my other 1911’s are all nice and smooth…but this thing is just gritty. Ideas on how to smooth it out? |
