Has anyone seen someone shorten the dust cover on a Walther PDP? The PDP is like the p365, p320, Echelon, Hellcat Pro & Shadow Systems DR920. The functionality of the frame and slide is not dependent on the actual length of the dust cover. The Walther PDP Pro-X PMM is the same frame they use with the 5 inch barrel slide guns matched to a 4-in barrel slide paired from the factory with a 1 in Long PMM compensator. Despite searching in several locations, I've never found anyone who is actually shortened the dust cover to only use a 4-in barrel slide. You can swap the complete slide assembly for a standard 4-in barrel slide and it will function, but you're going to have an inch of dust cover sticking out. I'm aware it would void the warranty. Not saying this is something I'm going to be doing soon, just curious about future possibilities. Thanks for your time. |
