A question for the hive. I just picked up a new Shadow 2 compact. the S2c will need a plate depending on optic choice between RMR and RMSc. I understand that, but my question is this: if I go with a RMR optic, how much overhang should I expect? The S2c slide appears a bit narrow to align with most RMR optics. It’s sort of an appearance thing, but I don’t think I want a lot of overhang on the slide. Awesome pistol btw.

I installed the Impact Machine plate with the rear backup sight topped with Holosun EPS carry. The plate sides are flush with the frame. |

Got my Impact Machine K plate with rear sight. Mounted up just fine. Was going to use a K footprint sight but the plate was wider then the optic and looked goofy. Had an EPS standard laying around so put that on. The mount system for the Shadow 2 slides accommodates the wider optics better than on the thinner slides of the 75 series. The P series slides are wider and will take the wider optics just fine in direct mount mill jobs. |

The Shadow 2 Compact has the same optic cut as the Full size Shadow 2 which is the standard RMR compatible cut IIRC. THE Shadow 2 Carry is a different cut which is compatible with the direct mount Holosun SPS C10 which is different. Or you can get a plate for a different optic. I have had Trijicon, Holosun, Leupold DPP, and Cylee red dots. The Cylee not having much time on it. So far I haven’t had problems with any of them. |
