Pretty sure I know what to do, but wanted to check with others on this. Second time at the range. First time, cleaned and lubed and shot about 200 rounds through it, no issues at all. Shot primarily Magtech 115 FMJ. Today, the second time it had several failures to extract, about 1-2 every 15 round mag. This time though I was shooting bulk Remington 115 FMJ, that was the only difference. Looks like a new extractor and spring is in order, I haven’t taken it down just yet for a close inspection, but it looks from the other thread on the SA-35, it’s not too uncommon for this. Anyone else had this happen? |

My SA-35 had serious extaction issues. Just last week, I replaced the extractor and extractor spring from Cylinder and Slide. I also took a tiny file and slightly worked the edges of the slide serrations where they encroached on the extractor channel. They had left drag marks on the original extractor. I took it to the range next day and it functioned 100% with the 75 rounds I ran throught it. I'll prpbably go out again tomorrow and run many more rounds through it to be sure. |
