Might have to buy this. Attached File I’ve got one in 454, and I was startled to see they now have them in 44 at the LGS yesterday. I’ve definitely had issues with my newer production 454 Toklat and 454 Alaskan with the cylinder binding against the forcing cone, so I’m kinda leary. Might just have to do it though. |

| I have an Alaskan in 480 Ruger that I bought when the first came out, $600 if that dates it. It’s been a great pistol. I’ve looked at the.44 as well lately. Always had good luck with Rugers and if there ever was an issue they handled it on their dime. I’m sure I’ll get another one soon, it’s just the damn prices holding me back. Everything has doubled or more what I paid in the good old days. |
| My pop let me borrow his blackhawk when I took a trip out west. Then he said he wanted it back but felt bad so he gave me a toklat 454 in trade. I think he paid $700 for it at a LGS that had it on the shelf new, must have been around 2015. I can't believe those prices have gone up that much or is that just the initial going rate because it is a new caliber offering? |
