Well, it does say it's a sample, maybe the final version will have a direct A-cut. Personally, I'm just glad to see the COAs are going to be sold stand alone and hope some of the usual suspects start offering A-cuts for older slides.

I think it makes a lot more sense for departments buying a complete gun without messing with assembling hundreds of setups, but more options are always nice and I could see somebody who already has a COA might want to standardize with it on multiple guns.  I believe I read Walther has a PDP with the COA cut as well as the Echelon.  

Bad luck for Glock that Aimpoint real couldn't crank out enough of them to fill demand while they had their one year of exclusivity.
