My two... Walter P22 purchased 3/04, that has many, many rounds down the pipe, and a Browning Buckmark purchased 9/06. Blue Anodized frame is a Gander Mountain special.

This one's my Ruger Single-Six. I had actually gone to the store looking to order a Heritage Arms Rough Rider w/ Bird's head grips, but then I saw this thing sitting there, and couldn't help myself. I'm still debating on wether or not to get a Bird's Head grip frame for it. |

Sorry about the poor focus of my cell phone, but here's a "new" one for me. I don't think it had been fired when I bought it. Lot's of fun. Far more portable than my scoped MkII gubmint. While not as accurate as the MKII, it shot under 2" at 25 yards last weekend. And that's good enough for me offhand out of a 3" barrel. I like it.  Bersa 622 in .22lr (These were made between 1979 and 1982) And here's another pic I have of a couple more..  .22mag & .22lr |

That was a 4" tapered barreled reciever that I ended up with in a trade. I had the gunsmith turn it down, cut, and thread it, and then make that solid shroud, which basically made a solid 3.5" barrel (though the shroud was removeable). (Similar to Volquartsens "Compact Carry" but minus the big price tag) The shotgun bead front sight worked well with the factory low profile non-adjustable rear sight, once I enlarged the notch slightly. Great balance, accurate enough to take a few grouse, (I did miss more often than with my better sighted longer barreled versions) and louder than hell! I was approached by a collector on this gun too, so I don't have it anymore. But it was a good little carry gun, and I may do another, but in stainless next time. |
