Been gone for a long time. Look at your regional gun trader boards. Two listed here in GA. Not cheap anymore.

Updating an old thread, got an email the other day from Classic about Bulgarian Makarovs and thought it would be nice to pick up a 2nd one. They claimed these were in very good to excellent condition but pictures looked average.  The shocking part is they were $480!!  And they were already sold out!

Agree with above. They tend to come in waves. They are more appreciated these days and command more $$$.

Been 8 months and now get another email that Classic has more Makarovs, and they "start" at $499 and go up from there, such as an extra $30 for a red bakelite grip.  Seems crazy but if someone really wants one may want to get one before they get more expensive!

Paid $500 two weeks ago from Mosin Crate, but with free shipping and 3 magazines included.

Ain't nothing going back to 2010 pricing.

I've had several over the decades.  First was a Chinese I got in Munich West Germany back in 89' and then ATF denied my Form 6 import permit  I did put 3,500+ rds thru one Bulgarian in Afghanistan in about 3 months last year.

I saw a commercial Russian Mak with adjustable sights sell in just a week at my local FFL for around $400.  I’m glad i got my milsurp Bulgarian when i did about 5 years ago for just under $300 with blade tech kydex holster and all the military swag that it came with except for the box.

I carried a Bulgarian Mak for years, even though they weren’t on the approved list for off duty carry, it was my go to, even in a Fobus paddle holster. I had the coin to get a more expensive pistol, but the Makarov was accurate, and perfect.

Still have it, and t he East German Mak too…..

The ship has sailed on Maks. You're paying GLOCK prices for a gun that cost the commies $15 to make. Add the Russian ammo ban and it's not a good idea to buy a Mak.

Good grief -- had a hankering for a MAk and just looked at GunBroker

Kicking myself for only picking up one Bulgy in the mid-2000s at a gunshow for $69 with 2 mags. Thought it was too high at the time and the dealer had a 2nd for the same price with only one mag and the import stamp was crooked. I passed and this was at the end of their availability.
*sigh*

I always liked the bulgarian maks but the ones I saw advertised recently were billed as “new” and priced at $499.

No mak is worth $500.

Saw two decent condition used Bulgys at Fort Worth Cabelas today for $329. Almost bought one but I couldn't bring myself to buy a 3rd, even for that price. I'll probably regret it.
