The EFLX and DPP are both in my price range with current sales and I just cannot decide between the two. I am open to holosun. But this is my first foray into a carry gun optic. G19 Gen 5 MOS will get an FCD plate. I can do these or should I get a second hand RMR green dot? I have an astigmatism and the green dots typically are better. I can use a red dot and eotechs reticle on the standard rifle holos are perfect for me even red! Thanks guys! |
| Vortex Defender XL blows the EFLX and DPP out of the water. I would not consider ever buying one of those to be honest. |

I've owned both the DPP and EFLX. The glass on the EFLX is really nice, dot is crisp and clear. I've sold it after watching Sage Dynamic reviews. It couldn't hold zero. The DPP is a good optic but it requires really tall sights. Other than that it just works. If you want a green dot. The Vortex Defender ST is a good choice. With the Black Friday sales going on they can be had for around $250. I have the Defender ST in green mounted on my G34. One more positive thing about Vortex Defender series of optic . Agree with the above. I had a buddy who hated the eotech - zero shifting and the raised buttons were easy to hit by accident, then the rubber buttons cover came off easy and was lost. Check out the Vortex. I was skeptical but bought the Defender CC for an RXM and I like it as well as my RMRs. Hard to compare toughness but no issues so far, hundreds of rounds. YMMV. |
