Well, I finally *FINALLY* got up off my lazy a$$, put my Ruger American Compact 9mm all back in its factory box, and went to Freedom Outdoors here in Richmond, VA off Broad St. (by Glenside & I-64. It used to be Colonial Shooting Academy for years). * 50 rounds of cheap Herter's 115gr FMJ target loads from Cabela's. * 12 round mag, 17 round mag (w/ adapter), 12 round, 17 round, ...alternating between each. * No FTF, no stovepipes, no FTE, no jams, ...nothing. Smooth trigger action but shot a hair low at first (I'm rusty). * Very well built 9mm. I shot righthanded (both eyes open), and switched lefthanded (left eye open, right eye closed). * This thing is cool, being 100% ambidextrous (remember the old Ruger SR9 and SR40 series from years ago?)

Here's the target I used. Yes, this prints out on a regular 8½ x 11 piece of paper from your printer. I'm a cheap "bass turd" and won't pay for a target at the range, so I print my own. Confession: I know it was my first time shooting the Ruger and I was extremely rusty. First couple of shots were low in the 8 ring. I shook my head and got myself refocused. The rest of the shots were scattered like a piece of swiss cheese all around the 9 ring, w/ one or two in the 10 ring. Disappointed, I tossed the target in the trash when I was done.  Feel free to take this, right click, "save image as..." and print it out for yourself.
