So, just picked up the AOS Comp and want to go with the ignition kit from EGW. I'm confused though on what exactly to go for. Initial thoughts are the stainless steel full hammer (no lightened for me), as well as the 19lb spring and one of each other item. Are all those items needed, in the sense that they'll improve something lacking in the gun? Main goal is to improve the trigger. Also, a bit confused but would every rds option require a plate for this gun or is there any that'll fit by default? |
| There are several different dots that share the same mounting base but yes there isn't one plate that fits everything. If you don't get the answers you are looking for on the ignition kit I'd try the 1911 forum and put that in the title. |

Buy the complete kit from EGW, they have a well deserved reputation for building some of the best parts for 1911’s. The parts are fully machined from bar stock, and as long as the hammer and sear holes in your frame are in spec, it will improve your trigger pull. Just be aware that the thumb safety is fitted to the sear and your safety may work fine with the new parts, may have to be fitted to it or may have to be replaced Also do a safety check before you take it to the range to test fire |
