I have a Prodigy AOS 12B plate. Using the provided Holosun EPS screws, there is a lot of play in the screws with the mount. After trying to tighten the screws down to the AOS recommended 15 in/lbs, the screws stripped. I had 3 screws stripped before reaching 15 in/lbs. I had some other Holosun screws that I tried, but the thread pitch appears different. Comparing the 2 Holosun screws, the threads are both different pitch sizes too. I am at a loss at what size screws need to be used in this plate. The plate didn't come with optic mounting screws. I contacted Holosun to get more screws, and Springfield to see if they could get me an answer to this question as well. Hoping someone would know here since I'd probably get the answer here before I hear back from Springfield. |

Talked to Springfield today and the the screws to affix the plate to the slide are 6-48. The screws to affix the optic to the plate are M4 x .7. In neither case could they tell me how long. The included screws with the plate in 6-48 worked like a champ. I had some M4 x .7 x 8mm on hand and they were too short. I have an assortment coming in in a couple of days and I should be able to tell you the length at that time. ETA: The Holosun 407k uses M4 x .7 x 12mm screws to fasten to the AOS plate. |
