Seeing a lot of them getting dumped on the EE for sale recently . Is there something going on with them? I have no need or experience with them, but was just curious. |
| With the new followers mine have been reliable (micro slick and non microslick). I did swap out the baseplates with aluminum +0 ones from Excess Arms as I noticed that all of them were bowing (I could be completely off here but the OEM plates appear to be printed). None of them had failed, but looking at them didn't give me warm fuzzy feelings (neither did spending twenty something apiece for new baseplates). I have not tried any of their +whatever baseplates so can't comment on them, still hoping PSA makes some factory 20rnd mags with spacers so they have a smooth interior, no junction as with an aftermarket extension for the spring or follower to get hung on. Double check the slide catch notch when you get them, some of them occasionally have some flashing left that needs to be trimmed with an XActo knife. |
| I can't seem to get them to lock the slide back on empty on my g48. Tried all sorts of ammo and they fail to lock the slide back 80% of the time or more. They feed rounds fine. In fairness, of the 4 shield mags I have, 1 of them doesn't lock back on empty either. |

In fairness, of the 4 shield mags I have, 1 of them doesn't lock back on empty either. @MallNinja531 I had problems with all of mine failing to lock the slide back except when using the hottest +P I had in my range bag the first time I took my Micro to the range; no issues with feeding. Make sure you have the latest followers- the newer version have a little nub/bump molded on the left side of the follower towards the read instead of being slick. If you have the old smooth version get in touch with them and they should send you the new ones; I'm in SC but after I sent pictures of the old style followers they had the new versions in my hands in a couple of days and they've worked as they should. They're easy to swap out. The first picture shows the old style followers, the second is the new style- I put a red circle around the differences. Attached File Attached File |

| My 4 have been 100% reliable in both my Micro Dagger frame/G43 slides (x2) and stock G43X. Ball/HP/random mixed/etc., about 600-700 rounds so far. |

i bought 6 of the all black mags over the winter and had issues with the first round getting jammed when loading a round from slide lock and the last round not locking back on empty. i didn't want to jump to the internet to complain because PSA took all 6 back, no questions asked. my followers were black and looked like a crappy 3D printed material and they seemed like they had follower tilt which was possibly causing the feeding and not locking back issues. other than the 1st round from slide lock, and not locking back on empty, they worked the rest of the time. these results were both in my 43x and my 48. looking at the pics on the website, i now see the followers are orange. have the followers been updated? |
| Honestly, people probably saw Ben Stoeger put out a video on the mags a little bit ago and they didn’t experiment and just sold them because he said there were issues. The same as a Navy Seal uses a blue clicky pen, then everyone gets those same stupid blue clicky pens |

I find it incredibly hard to believe he'd be talking about micro guns since he's all about the fullsize and competition guns. |

The new red followers are smoother and better looking and the springs are slightly longer and stiffer (and a little different color too). I put Micro mag parts in the products suggestion thread as I'd like to replace all of mine- if everyone else would also request replacement parts maybe they'll sell them as a parts kit.  |

i took my 6 new red follower mags for a test this evening and i am pleased to say that they worked 100%. 6 mags, 350 rounds, each mag was subject to the same drill, with the same amount of ammo for the drill, so approx 58 rounds thru each mag. they held open on empty every time, closed from slide release or the sling shot method each time as this was the focus of my testing this evening. most of the time i only loaded 1, 2 or 3 rounds. mostly shot my 43x, but i did a few drills with my 48 to confirm they work in that as well. i will carry with only 14 in the mag as they are very stiff with 15 when seating a mag on a closed slide, and the extra friction with a fully loaded mag racking a closed slide was slightly more difficult. not that it's hard, it was just easier with only 14; think wet, muddy, injured hand. they did not drop as free as the oem mags, so just something to be aware of. i am very happy with these mags and that they bring the platform to compete with everyone else. i don't shoot much any more, so time will tell if they hold up over thousands of rounds. i do plan to set a side 4 for carry rotation only and buy a few more for practice. edit o ad: one thing i didn't get to do was dropping a fully loaded mag to see if they puke ammo everywhere or bust apart. it was raining today with no hard dry ground and i'm not doing that on concrete. i'll try that on my carpeted floor tomorrow. |

I provided pics and vids of the testing with G17 internals versus stock and he sent the replacement parts but never has been 100% Have never had any feeding issues just the failures to lock back because of follower tilt, would REALLY like to try swapping the internals to the newer version as this not locking the slide back reliably is whats kept me from ordering more of their mags the gun runs 130% reliable with glock factory mags... several friends who copied my build are also waiting to see reliable function before they will use anything but glock mags etc... | In January, I purchased a Micro Dagger frame with 2 Mags from PSA. I put on the slide from my G43. Love the combination. However, after about 300 rounds, neither Mag will lock the slide on the last round, or lock the slide on an empty Mag. It's a drag, but I can live with it until I find a fix. |
