| Does anyone know how much a WW2 Colt WB inspector marked lower sells for? 1942, 90-95% condition. I'm asking bc I don't have the matching slide. I have a Colt commercial marked contract replacment slide. Thanks |
| I'm sure we will have the opinions of any number of experts - but as always, condition is a major factor. I'd guess $1000 give or take 20% depending on factors of the usual market variables of how serious the parties are about the need to buy or sell. Does the frame have other parts, and are those parts Colt and also from 1942? and so on |
| It's a complete frame. Idk about all of the small parts being original to the frame from 42. They are all parked and look correct. With similar finish color/wear.. Thanks for the ballpark. It's too bad the slide will be impossible to find, if it still exists. |

Then I’d find a Colt systems hard slide to pair it with and get all the correct component parts for an early MEUSOC build. Could be a Variant 1 or maybe pre-V1. Systems hard slides aren’t that hard to find - either as NOS or in decent condition. I’ve got three of them. K.C. Kustoms has a lot of the correct MEUSOC components. The parts currently on the frame not needed for the MEUSOC build could be sold off to cover the MEUSOC parts. |

On the MEUSOC build we're doing, any "collector value" of the Mil-frame had already been sharply diminished by two bad re-blue attempts by a previous owner, overly aggressive buffing that had obliterated some of the USP stamp, and the tang had already been modified in an attempt to fit a non-Mil grip safety. Despite all that, the frame was still salvageable for a MEUSOC build - still in progress. |

Pic and parts install can make the price rise substantially. Correct MSH, hammers, triggers, safeties and so on can add a LOT of value. Original finish can also. I have a colt WW2 [preggo horse era] slide with excellent original finish I keep toying with to sell but the stupid things are like a rollover CD, they keep going up in price. |
