Attached File This is my new trial setup. I have trained and trained drawing from the pocket and have pocket carried a JFrame for the last couple of years. As I get older I can see the need for a RDS and as such moved to this. So far I’ve haven’t experienced any snags when drawing from the pocket with this setup but red dots are new to me and I’m approaching with caution. Tons of dry firing to find the dot, but when I did I took it to the range and was shooting the center out of 2 inch dots at 7-10 yards. I had to aim a little high due to the RDS being zeroed at 25 yards. I welcome constructive criticism. Edit : Sig P365 / Desantis Nemesis with optic cutout / RomeoZero with steel shroud. |

Yeah I don't reddot on my carry for snag concern. its a 10 yard gun, I'm confident that even with point and shoot i can hit a 10 yard target. that being said im sure its fine with practice. |

I'm interested in what you conclude. Seems like quite a chunk to have in your pocket. I pocket carry a J-frame with a Crimson Trace grip and I think it's quite good. But... lasers definitely have their limitations. Pretty good indoors but about worthless in the sunlight. |

The 12 rounders are just a bit much. It carries very comfortably in the Desantis Nemesis. I went to town today in blue jeans that are actually in my size (34x30) and had 0 problems with either comfort or concealment. This is my second full day carrying it, so take it for what it’s worth. |

Like you, I dunno about pocketing one, but snaggy is as snaggy does. I'm interested. |

when I put the dot on my P365XL, on a whim I put it in the front pocket of my jeans and I was amazed that it fit, wasn't uncomfortable when I sat down, and drew just fine. Unfortunately it was a bit too long/tall and stuck out a bit, but if I had the base or X model it'd have worked fine. I really want someone to come out with a narrower red dot for stuff like the LCP and Bodyguard 2.0. I'd carry the shit out of that. |

| Dots are great. I love them on every pistol I can get them on. That said, for pocket carry, which already has such a high snag potential, I'd forego the dot. At the very least, I'd take it to a class and test it out in a controlled defensive handgun use environment. Merely trying it out at the range isn't enough testing to carry this in the real world. |
