Obviously they are leather single action holsters. I’ve heard of Hunter brand but not the other one. My question are what model and barrel length single action do they fit? Is the manufacturer of the black one still in business? Worth $10? Attached File |

| Bucheimer was around for many many years, folded quite a while ago. Can still be found on ebay. They made decent stuff, some of their designs were "interesting" to say the least. Quite popular in the 50's and 60's. Price and quality was in the mid-range. Own several. |

Your Bucheimer "Perfect-fit" B 17 holster is for a Single Action Army with 7.5" barrel. which means it will fit all SAA clones with that barrel length as well. Any Bucheimer holster that will properly hold a handgun is worth $10.00. Good score!. Hit it with some good quality leather dressing to keep it from drying out and you'll have a decent field holster you won't mind walking the woods with. Gary |

The old Hunters were well made, thick leather holsters that hold up great- my father is still using his from the late 60s, early 70s and mine was a NOS bought off ebay still in the cardboard box (so probably 70s, not sure when they switched to the plastic bags). Nothing whizbang tactical, just honest field holsters; I've got them for a couple of different revolvers. You used to be able to find them still in the boxes on ebay for under $20 and they still tend to be inexpensive, just make sure if you're buying one it's an older model as they changed to a thinner, crappier leather at some point with cheaper snaps and more "gunbucket" style loose fit at some point. Yours looks like a quality piece, you'd recognize the newer version instantly if you saw one. The Model 1100 size 48 is designed for the 6" Interarms Virginian Dragoon, 6" Iver Johnson Buckhorn and Cattleman and 6.5" Blackhawk.
