Early Sept we were at the property and my 14 YO daughter said she wanted to shoot with me (never really expressed interest before and had shot < 10 rounds on handguns in her life). I gave her minimal instruction with grip and trigger pull to evaluate her skills and she was killing it at 8 yards so we walked back to the 25 (~ 8 inch group, all A zone), and then the 50 (all on paper, 2 As). She had really excellent marksmanship, and this is with a G19 Gen 5 with stock trigger and RMR. Day 2, she turns in this group at 25 Yards. Again, she's at less than 100 rounds total. She was disappointed "I only got 3 in the circle" - ha. Red dots make it easy. Attached File |

| I too have ALWAYS been target focus with irons. While my position in the Navy never required regular sidearm use, I still got a ribbon for it. Would have been expert, but I was being impatient during the testing. :\ |

RDS definitely performed better at 50yd G17L RDS Left, G47 shitty black suppressor irons Right. Shots fired 1 round every couple seconds standing:  However whats interesting is the shot dispersion / density is very similar, the irons are just smushed off target to the right. With a better zero'd / easier to see Irons setup I suspect hit % on target have been pretty comparable. |

Friend of mine who has never touched a firearm had his first shots with one my elegant g19 + RMR CCW setups. You can see his first hits we pasted. Then with 5 minutes of instruction, viola. I just feel I'm more accurate with 1911s. I'm going to bring both next time out. Just due to shooting in the cold/snow I'm not doing a lot of dynamic handgun stuff outside. Once the snow melts I'll do some more shooting from the holster on the clock. At home doing dry fire drills it just feels like a normal glock. |
