I’ve been pulling my hair out for a few days trying to get my RMR mounted to a P226X Legion slide. It does have the correct footprint, but getting the right screws has been a challenge. I tried 6-40’s, 6-33’s, M4’s, and finally M3’s. The optic leaves a bit of a gap in the front, and while I really don’t want to add anything that will increase the optic height, I think I’d rather fill that gap than trust in the screws. So, what would be some suggestions for a plate? My only experience has been with Forward Controls. And for the record, it took M3 screws to directly mount the RMR directly to the slide. |
| Yep, you’re gonna want a filler plate to help take the stress off the screws. These plates don’t really add any height and do what is needed. |

Just got off the phone with them and unfortunately they don’t make anything for this footprint. Not sure if I’ll go with adhesive as I’ll have to take it on and off to change batteries. Nope, won’t fit. The SigLoc pattern doesn’t have the groove in the middle. Here’s a pic I found of the pattern. The groove/no groove has no bearing on CH plate. The plate sits flat in the cut and has a small rise at the front to take the shearing forces off of the screws. ETA, In other words as long as your slide has holes that align with the holes in your RMR the CH plate will work. The filler plate just increases the footprint of the RMR to fill the space in front of the RMR and your slide. It does not use any groove or slot that the SigLoc may or may not have. |

The plate has a little nub that sits in the half moon shaped cut in the slide. This slide doesn't have that cut, so the plate will not sit flush. The plate I linked does not use the slot. There is no half circle nub on the plate. CH does make a version with the nub but they also make a version without. Look at the pictures of the plate. There is no nub. It’ll work. I just used it on a P226 and P211. |

I'd skip the C&H plate (and Springer Precision as well). I had both and they fit so loosely in the factory optics cut that I doubt it was doing much to off load stress on the mounting screws. Sig is like Apple and tries really hard to make the consumer use their own products or optic in this case. |

This is what CH sent me after they told me they didn't have anything for this gun. The nubs I'm talking about are on the piece on the right on the third picture to the right at the link I sent. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to post pics!!!! I've tried Imgur, tried looking for instructions, etc... I've posted pics before, no idea why I can't now. |
