I just got one of these as a throw in when I bought another P226, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. What’s the consensus on them? Do they work well? Magazines seem to be pretty much impossible to find, which is suboptimal. |

I have the p226 and p220 .22 conversions. Iirc, I bought them as a Father's Day special from Sig 15 or so years ago,, You're right about magazine scarcity. Accuracy is fair, to me they're more of a fun upper which can't compete with a dedicated .22. pistol. Reliability is good. Attached File |

I've got one for a P220. Paid like $150 for it used but new in box. Intent was to shoot a lot more at much lower cost per round. Works ok, almost no fails or jams if using top shelf .22 Kind of akward to load. This was at least 10 years ago and 2 mags were like $80 shipped I think. Honestly, I would have been better off banking the $ and just spending a little more shooting the 45ACP. |
| I bought one a long time ago and it runs great. There's no last round hold open so count your rounds. On mine the firing pin actually deformed the barrel and it displaced a tiny bit of metal that was causing feeding issues. Overall it basically never gave any other issues and worked great for my steel matches and occasional practices. I loved being able to run my Production rig which was the whole point. |

| They are OK, not great but not total crap either. Because Sig no longer sells them, they are starting to become kind of a collectors item (assuming condition, original case and at least 1 mag, etc.) so if you have all that, I would consider trying to sell it and using the funds to buy a dedicated rimfire pistol which is a much better option IMO. |
