Hello, I've been a long time lurker to ARFCOM and finally decided to make an account. I traded in my P320 for a P-09c Nocturne and now have to start over in terms of holsters and parts. Any recommendations for light bearing holsters I liked the idea of Tier 1 but I'm having a hard time with the options as I'm not super familiar with CZ's lineup. |

I did some research and I came to the conclusion that anything that lists the P-07 would work with the P-09c.  That being said I ordered a Tier 1 IWB holster since it was light bearing and can take a comp. (I plan on adding a compensator in the future.) I will post updates when I get it.

Alright as of technically yesterday I received my holster! So some clarification: I have a Surefire x300u-A, I am not thin at all, and this is my first IWB holster like this. So I had some struggles with getting it to be comfortable. Most of that is on me and my financial and health decisions. That being said, its a solid holster. Almost too solid...as retention makes it somewhat difficult to pull out. Good news is that I can adjust retention and that this is fairly normal if you buy a P-07 holster for a P-09c. It seems that the specs fit however they are slightly different enough for a tight fit. Anyway I should be in bed and I'll post images later. |

I wanted a Safariland retention holster for my P-09C. I ended up looking around and picked up an 6300 RDO series ALS/SLS for a P320 compact with a TLR-1 / X300U. I did have to remove the ALS lever and trim some material in two places to make room. One was the "horizontal" (if you look at the holster level) support to the ALS thumb piece. The other area was the section that locked into the ejection port. In my case, some of it would not clear the optic I chose, a Vortex Defender Enclosed CCW. After trimming both areas with a dremel sanding drum, a little at a time, it locks up perfectly. This would let me run it as an ALS-only retention setup with the SLS hood removed. The next modification I did was to swap the SLS hood with one from a Beretta M9 holster. This gave the SLS hood just a bit of extra length in order to not rub on the hammer. My guess is the hood for the P320 is a bit shorter than the M9 hood, as the M9 does need to clear the hammer spur. A strap for a 1911 or Sig 22X series gun may work too. With these two mods, the holster fits my P-09C with a Vortex Defender Enclosed CCW and either a TLR-1 or a TLR-7A. I imaging it would also work with the longer TLR versions currently available as well as an X300, but I haven't tested those yet. An added benefit of using the P320 holster is that there are a good amount of used Safariland ALS/SLS P320 holsters out there for cheap as that gun has suffered quite the reputation hit. The mods are easy to do if you have a little patience. |
