The new Nocturne editions of the P-09 have finally made me curious enough to look at picking one up. That said, I'm somewhat confused by the magazine compatibility between the original P-09, the Nocturne, and apparently the P-10. It seems there is some cross pollination between the designs? Leaning towards the full size one. From what I gather, the original P-09 mags will work in the Nocturne, but not the reverse. Which are also compatible with the full-size P-10? Guessing the compact follows the same pattern? CZ's website is uselessly vague on this, beyond the new Nocturne mags being more expensive because of the notched baseplate. |

Here is a video that a guy uses a few different magazines from different models of CZ and other brand guns. He had issues with the CZ P09 C Nocturne magazines. Wonder if it’s a weak spring or something else with the magazines? I can’t wait to get my P09 C Nocturne.  CZ P09 Nocturne 850 round update |

P-09 Nocturne is an updated P-09 P-09C is an updated P-07. Seems dumb to me that they rebranded the well known 07 to 09c but I at least understand what they are trying to accomplish. The P-09 Nocture can use Nocturne mags, or P-09 Mags, or P-10* full size mags. The P-09c Nocturn can use P-07c Nocturne mags, or P-07 Mags, or P-10c* mags P-07 and P-10c use a different baseplate, but the 07 version has been essentially unobtainable for years. *the P-10c and P-10f have several early variations where the mag release was moved. So really early mags won't work. You need the ones with three mag catch notches. |

Yup, when the P10C came out, P07 mags became somehow harder to find - I stocked up on P10C mags for it. I just sold my 07 to fund an 09C - the 09C baseplates preclude those mags from working in a P10C or P07, but P10C and P07 mags will fit and work just fine in a P09C - the mag bodies springs and followers are identical, just the baseplates are different. P09 (fullsize) mags will also work, just stick out a bit. |
