Hey all, I'm new to pistol optics so please bear with me. I have a Taurus tx22 compact that I believe takes the rsmc footprint Red Dot. I already own a hollow sun 507c Green Dot that I would like to use on this pistol but obviously it's of the wrong size. Trying to find what I would think is an rsmc to RMR plate adapter. Has anyone done this with a tx22 or something else? All of my searches yield a bunch of confusion regarding different size slides to different size optics with different ways of converting and everyone and their mother having their own brand of fit. Am I on the right track here? Any suggestions for plates? Thanks |

I'm not trying to change subjects, and I'm not far ahead of you, so there's that. 1) As a general rule, go for a direct mount and avoid adapter plates if you can. 2) There are several good sight options in RMSc footprint 3) A bigger sight window isn't really necessary. The small ones work fine. I think you should shop for a sight you like that will mount directly. I got this because it was on sale, but I used it on a full size 9mm for a while first, and it's still working well after a lot of use. Attached File |
