They first came to my attention during the panic buying around 2020 and shortly after lots of reports of popped primers and horrid QC with 5.56. Now I'm looking for break in ammo for my AP5 and it's the cheapest nato spec 124gr that isn't imported mystery meat from turkey or assembled by some obscure company. Would appreciate some recommendations as well trying to keep it below 26 cpr Also, would steel case work for breaking in? I see that there's a ton of 19cpr magtech |

I've shot quite a bit of Norma 9mm (115 and 124) and have not had any issues with it. Accuracy is above average. I have historically avoided steel case pistol ammo due to poor reliability in most of my guns. However, I recently shot a few cases of the magtech stuff with the nickle plated steel cases and it has functioned fine for me, as well as some friends. I have not shot groups with it, so can't comment on accuracy. My only complaint is streamers (sparks) at the muzzle, which is mildly distracting. |

I did end up with some of the white box Norma 9mm ammo that was on the recall list. I called Norma and was told it was fine and they won't refund or exchange it. So I shot it without problems. There are numerous types of Norma ammo. Some made in Hungary, some in Germany, and some in the USA (the likely culprit for the problems). It's hard to know what is what. |
